The Oscars and India...

Yesterday morning, I was watching the Academy Awards on television. Being a southern California abroad, I must confess that it felt strange to be watching the Oscars at 10 a.m. with 95 degree weather. Anyways, a few teachers passed by during the musical performances from Slumdog Millionare and became very excited because their country was represented at the ceremony. The gentleman who won the sound editing award (and had the opportunity to give an acceptance speech) is from Kerala, and many people here are extremely proud of him. Right now, India is celebrating. Many people have asked me about Slumdog Millionare , but I have not seen it.

Just thought that I'd let you know the sentiments here!
